Dangote Tops Nigeria’s Most Valuable Brands Ranking for 8th Year
Dangote Industries has once again emerged as Nigeria’s Most Valuable Brand, topping the 2025 TOP 50 BRANDS NIGERIA® ranking for the eighth consecutive year. With a Brand Strength Measurement (BSM) Index of 86.3, Dangote retained its lead as the nation’s industrial powerhouse and one of Africa’s most recognizable corporate names.
The TOP 50 BRANDS NIGERIA® report, widely regarded as a standard for brand excellence in the country, evaluates companies using the BSM model, which measures popularity, online engagement, sentiment, category leadership, innovation, national spread, and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Dangote’s continuous dominance is a reflection of its unrivaled leadership in the industrial sector, consistent consumer trust, and widespread national and continental appeal and presence.
“Dangote continues to represent the qualities of resilience, innovation, and impact that Nigerians admire in a brand. It has gone beyond being just a conglomerate; it has become a national symbol,” said the report.
This outcomes and the recognition indicates Dangote’s influence beyond just the business, but also in nation-building, given its investments in job creation, infrastructure, and CSR. Analysts suggest that topping the ranking enhances the group’s reputation with investors, regulators, and consumers, further consolidating its role as a flagship of Nigerian corporate identity.
In the 2025 ranking, MTN Nigeria followed closely in second place, emerging as the Most Popular Brand with 84% in the Top of Mind (TOM) survey, while Airtel and Globacom placed third and fourth respectively.
Others among the top 10 in the annual 50 top brands in the country are Access Bank which leads the Banking and Financial Services Category at 5th, followed by Zenith Bank (6th), BUA Group (7th), First Bank (8th), UBA (9th), and Coca-Cola (10th) position respectively.
The Banking & Financial Services remained strong, with four banks among the top 10 with Access, Zenith, First Bank, and UBA.
Telecoms continue to dominate, with MTN, Airtel, and Globacom all placing in the top tier.
The 2025 50 top brand list features 25 Nigerian and 25 multinational brands, a perfect balance of local and global players.
With eight consecutive years at the top, Dangote’s brand equity continues to strengthen, making it not just Nigeria’s most valuable brand but also a symbol of sustained excellence in Africa’s business space.
