DUFIL (De United Foods Industries Limited) is a group of consumer goods, consisting of noodles, edible oil, pastas, snacks etc. Its flagship, Indomie, under the noodle division, started operation in 1996 at Ota, Ogun State. It is the first instant noodles manufacturing plant in Nigeria and the largest in Africa at that time.

Indomie is a unique brand of instant noodles, loved by majority of Nigerians. It has grown to become household name in the country, owing to its delightful taste and wholesomeness. Being in Nigeria for the past 31 years, indomie has made a remarkable impact on the country’s culinary landscape.

Dufil started with staff strength of about 500 but today it has over 1500 staff members working effectively and efficiently towards one common goal; to satisfy its customers by continuously offering a variety of nutritious, healthy and quality products.

Incorporated in 2001 as a private limited liability company at Choba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Upon completion of a restructuring exercise the company was converted to Public limited company and became the holding company of the group which is now comprising of other consumer good.

It started as a joint venture between Tolaram Group of Singapore and Salim Group of Indonesia with a 50:50 shareholding until 2018. As of today, the management of Dufil comprises of Salim group of Indonesia and Toleram Africa Food Ptv ( a joint venture between  Toleram Group of Singapore and Kellogs’s from the United States)

DUFIL manufactures and sells instant noodles which appeals to several demographic groups and has grown to become a household name across the country. It offers noodles in various flavors under Indomie and Minimie Noodles brand names; spaghetti under Power pasta brand name; vegetable cooking oil under PowerOil brand name; and ready-to-eat snacks for the mobile consumers under Minimie Chinchin brand name.

Dufil has maintained its dominance in the noodle business in the Africa’s most populous country with the acquisition of potential competitors, including Dangote Noodles and Minimee from May and Baker.
