PZ Cussons Nigeria PLC, an international consumer goods group with an established portfolio of trusted brands across a range of markets, publicly listed in Nigeria is a subsidiary of PZ Cussons (Holdings) Limited, UK.

Its activities have evolved from trading in salt, textile materials imported from U.K. to agricultural commodities including palm oil and hide and skin exported back. The PZ Cussons brand in Nigeria has a 120 years history behind it.

Today, Nigeria is PZ Cussons’ largest and most diverse single market, manufacturing, distributing and sales across over 5 broad categories namely: personal care, beauty, home care, food and nutrition. The ranges include soaps, cosmetics, medicaments, pharmaceuticals, detergents, refrigeration and air conditioning and other home appliances. It also distributes for PZ Wilmar Limited and PZ Wilmar Foods Limited.

The brand has been part of the Nigerian story for over a century and presently employs over 3500 people working across its extensive network, which includes three manufacturing plants in Ilupeju and Ikorodu, Lagos State and soaps plant at Aba, Abia State.

Throughout its 135 years history, PZ as it is popularly called has successfully adapted and evolved to the constantly changing consumer market and economic environments. It has an unrivalled heritage and entrepreneurial culture, robustly supported by its ‘can do’ values which have made it a darling of many Nigerian homes.

PZ has also successfully implemented a backward integration programme through the PZ Wilmar integration with the first oil palm processing, packaging and distribution company in Nigeria with an ISO certification.

PZ Cussons Nigeria products are broadly categorised into Personal care-  comprising of Imperial leather, Carex, Cusson Baby, Premier, the legendary Robb, Venus, joy. Home Care- Zip and Morning Fresh. Food and Nutrion- Olympic, Nunu, Coast, Mamador and Devon King. Electricals- Haiers Thermocool, TEC.

PZ Cussons has not just been one of the most consistent brands in this annual top brand league table, it emerged the highest gainer at this year’s valuation.
