Coscharis was establish in 1977 with a modest beginning of importation and distribution of automotive spare parts, accessories of Japanese vehicles and several kinds of automobile related products. Its strategic investment in key sectors of the country’s economic landscape showcases the leadership, business acumen and doggedness of the COSCHARIS brand icon, the founder and President/CEO, Dr. Cosmas Maduka, CON.

With the visionary intent to ”build an institution that will be timeless in its relevance”, Coscharis Group from its humble beginning proceeded into the automobile sales as the sole representative of the BMW brand in Nigeria. The success achieved led to the grand entry of other great brands like Jaguar LandRover, Ford, Mini, Morris Garages and finally the luxurious Rolls-Royce brand, with Coscharis as the second franchisee in the whole of Africa.

Furthermore, within the auto industry, Coscharis holds sole franchise of the Abro automotive care brands and the car rental franchise for Sixt Rent a Car through its subsidiary Coscharis Mobility in Nigeria.

Coscharis Group’s interests spread beyond the automobile sector with subsidiaries such as Coscharis Technology Ltd that plays big in the ICT sector representing various global brands in Nigeria. Likewise Coscharis’ interest in the medical sector is present in Coscharis Medical & Foods Ltd and CG Biostadt. As a result of further diversification of business portfolio, the Group entered into a Private – Public initiative to engage in the agricultural sector of the economy with the establishment of Coscharis Farms Ltd.
In 2014, the company embarked on assembly of Ford Ranger in Nigeria through Coscharis Motors Assembly Ltd and most recently, it added the assemblage, sales and service of the French marquee, the Renault brand, to its flourishing portfolio of automobile brands.
