In the face of fierce market competition, Transsion has established a brand that adapts to the market environment at various stages with the ‘Together We Can’ mantra.

The brand was founded by George Zhu Zhaojiang, a Chinese businessman, and his business partner in July 2006. The company originally traded as Tecno Telecom Limited, with its base in Hong Kong and a R&D centre in Shanghai, China. However, research garnered from early visits to Africa and Latin America convinced Zhaojiang and his team that Africa could represent their most lucrative market.

Today, Tecno and other members of the Trassion holding phone brands remains the king of African smart phone market.
