Rite Foods Limited entered the food and beverage sector in 2007 as a subsidiary of Ess-Ay Holdings, producing a portfolio of consumer brands under a 'Truly World-Class and Proudly Nigerian' positioning. The business operates from a single integrated production facility in Ososa, Ogun State, built between 2013 and 2015 and valued by the company at ₦100 billion, with over ₦30 billion invested in beverage-specific infrastructure including automated production lines and a hybrid solar, gas, and diesel power setup; soft drink output has grown from 30,000 packs a day to 120,000 as the company has added manufacturing lines to meet demand.

The company organises its business around five core brands: Bigi Carbonated Soft Drinks (13 flavours including Bigi Cola, Orange, Apple, and Lemon & Lime), Bigi Premium Drinking Water, Sosa Fruit Drinks, Fearless Energy Drink, and its original sausage roll business under the Rite and Bigi names. Industry commentary published in mid-2026 identified Bigi as one of Nigeria's fastest-growing carbonated soft drink brands, narrowing the market share gap with established multinational competitors, particularly across Nigeria's South-West.

The company has stated an intention to expand its commercial footprint beyond Nigeria under a 'Proudly African' positioning, and has picked up a run of industry recognitions through 2025 and 2026, including awards at the Sustainability in Africa Awards and the National Sustainability Achievement Award. Beyond commercial operations, Rite Foods runs CSR programmes spanning education, youth empowerment, and community development, including a partnership with the WIMBIZ Big Sister Programme and continued sponsorship of Soundcity On Tour.
